You would think that after ten years of hearing rider feedback on every kind of riding gear imaginable a company would find itself in a good position for developing some quality gear of its own. And you’d be right. This REAX Ludlow Textile Jacket is a good example of what having all that knowledge at your disposal can result in.
Born from RevZilla’s experience selling gear, REAX is a motorcycle apparel company with a RevZilla co-founder taking CEO duties. Part of their initial line, the Ludlow Textile is a weather-ready piece with CE Level 2 protection that looks great on the bike — or at the café up the street.
Made from a poly twill woven in a herringbone-texture, the shell comes in two colours, charcoal grey or Loden, a muted olive green. The shell is water-resistant but lightweight and breathable with a slew of vents helping out on the breathability department — two at the chest, one at each bicep, and two vertical exit vents around back.
You’ll find four pieces of armour, one at each shoulder, one at each elbow. It’s CE Level 2 armour made by SAS-TEC out of Germany. A pocket in back accepts back armour if you want to up the protection even more.
They included other details here — like a magnet-secured hood (also removable), a waterproof device pocket, connection loops, and all YKK zippers — all of which prove that during the last ten years selling riding gear, REAX has been paying attention.
