Built for professional surfer Chippa Wilson, the Beach Sled was designed to be a versatile motorcycle for both adventurous pursuits and long, easy cruises. Inspired by Steve McQueen, the “King of Cool,” and his 1960s proto-adventure bikes known as “desert sleds,” which were street bikes modified for off-road riding.
In the same spirit as those bikes, this build was constructed using only bolt-on parts and common tools. The result is a completely transformed custom motorcycle ready for any journey. This marks the second version of the original Beach Sled, featuring slight changes such as paint and luggage.
The motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 865cc DOHC parallel twin and is presented in a yellow and white finish. Modifications include LED lighting, wire-spoke wheels, custom fenders and side covers, along with components from British Customs, Biltwell, CRG, and Pazzo Racing.
