The SportClassic series consisted of five vintage-themed models designed by Pierre Terblanche, with the Sport 1000 being styled after the 1973 750 Sport. This 2006 Ducati SportClassic Sport 1000 underwent modifications, featuring a silver finish with a black stripe and red pinstripes over a black trellis frame.
Power is derived from a 992cc desmodromic L-Twin mated to a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes Marelli electronic fuel injection, an oil cooler, an adjustable Sachs monoshock, triple Brembo disc brakes, and a side stand.
Notable modifications encompass a leather and Alcantara solo seat, a Zard two-into-two exhaust system, a custom-tuned ECU, a bespoke fuel filler cap, an inverted Marzocchi fork, Andreani fork cartridges, an EVR vented clutch pressure plate, a flyscreen, LED lighting, Kineo 17″ wire-spoke wheels, Motogadget bar-end turn signals, Ducabike rearsets, CRG levers, Rizoma brake reservoirs, and a relocated battery.
