Roland Sands Designs are continuing to expand on their range of riding gear in 2013 with a handful of new leather and textile jackets. As with last years range Sands is blurring the line between fashion and function, merging modern and classic styling with top quality materials. You don’t see many riding jackets in denim, especially ones that look this good. The Fubar is an “authentic” denim riding jacket made in the USA from durable, raw and rigid, yarn dyed denim (12.5 oz). Loose fit for riding comfort with rotated pre-curved sleeves, dropped back length and relaxed collar opening. Armour is not included but the jacket features pockets in the elbows, back and shoulders ready for it.
The RSD range of ladies jackets has also been expanded starting with this textile jacket they call Vada. The Vada is a 11.14oz waxed cotton, light riding jacket that’s breathable and waterproof. Designed with the female form in mind it has a riding fit, with rotated, pre-curved sleeves and a dropped back length and relaxed collar opening. A satin inner lining provides comfort, breathes well and looks great when the jacket is worn open. Again it’s not included but the jacket is armor ready with shoulder, elbow and back protector pockets.
A ladies Café Racer style jacket with a form fitting design. Made from tough, top grain cowhide (1.1mm – 1.3mm thickness) that is pre-oiled, washed then hand finished with wax before oiling again for an already work in look and instant comfort. Perforated leather trims provide ventilation and pre-curved sleeves and comfort flex panels under arms add to its comfort. Fit can be fine tuned with the adjustable zip waist and zip close cuffs. Five storage pockets means you don’t have to worry about carrying a bag and each jacket is equipped to fit optional RSD Armor in the elbows, shoulder and back.
