This Honda CB750, Dick Mann replica has been built by a chap by the name of Mick in Sydney. Mick has recently moved the bike in to the Deus Camperdown store where some lucky fellow will be able to purchase the stunning CB. The bike is immaculate and as you can see from the photos and would not let down any potential buyers expectations. prices are on application but at a guess I would think you’d be lucky to get it for less than $25-$30k.
Motorcycle Racing legend Dick Mann is known as AMA Grand National Series‘ all time 2nd top rider after taking out 24 national victories. His racing career spanned the early 50’s through to the mid 70’s competing in road racing, motocross and flat track racing. It was with this bike, a Honda CR750 (not CB), that Mann took first place in the AMA National, an event he had competed in 15 times previously. This win also marked Honda’s first AMA National win, a truly historic moment in Honda’s motorcycle racing history. Mann went on to win another grand national title the following year on a BSA adding to his outstanding racing history.
Some time ago I posted images of another replica of the Racing spec Honda CB750 on Return of the Cafe Racers. That one though was produced in kit form by Tamiya at 1/6th of it’s original size. Although this is still a very cool replica it’s nothing compared to Mick full scale replica.
I was not able to source particulars of the build but I’m sure more information will be available soon.
