Not only are Norton finally producing the 961 Commando for sale but they have now added a Cafe Racer and Sport version to the 961 Commando model lineup.
The Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer which is currently only available in the UK features an almost identical set up to the other 961 models but with a bit of Cafe cool added to it looks.
The Cafe Racer styling upgrades include black rims (as opposed to chrome), clip-on handlebars and a Cafe Racer fly screen. Performance modification on 961 Commando Cafe Racer include the Cafe Racer sports exhaust, Ohlins reservoir-style twin shocks (in gold) with Adjustable ride height, reload, compression and rebound and Brembo 4 piston front and 2 piston rear brakes.
For the bargain price of £13,495 ($22,485USD) including on road costs and VAT you’ll get to take home a 961 Commando Cafe Racer in Black & Gold (easily the best option), Red & Gold, Yellow & Black or Silver, Red & Black.
If the price is a tad bit steep for you there is the Norton Commando 961 Sport which will set you back £11,995 but packs the same punch as it’s more stylish Rocker brother.
In my opinion the 961 Commando Cafe Racer might just be the best modern Cafe Racer we have seen produced to date.
