Looking for the ultimate desktop or coffee table accessory for motorcyclists? Thailand’s Omega Racer workshop has just the thing.
Inspired by the design of Norton Motorcycle’s legendary Manx motorcycle, Omega Racer has created this eye-catching conversation piece. Built from high-grade aluminium this miniature fuel tank is a handmade work of art that also doubles as a piggy bank.
“This scaled-down Norton tank replica makes for a truly special gift, a trophy at a bike show or simply an addition to your own collection of bike collectables.” – Omega Racer
The Norton Piggybank is made using the same metal shaping techniques Omega Racer uses to build their range of aftermarket bodywork. Taking around 20 hours to complete each piggy bank tank is meticulously hand-shaped from an aluminium sheet. Just like your motorcycle’s fuel tank, the piggy bank features a tunnel on the underside that’s welded in place. To gain access to your saving,s sitting over the filler hole is a handmade screw-on cap that features a knurled edge and a slot for inserting coins.
The Omega Racer Norton Piggy Bank measures 22cm long, 15cm wide and 14cm high (8.6 x 5.9 x 5.5 inches). Each piggy bank comes with its own removable powder-coated display stand which increases the overall height to 28cm. This Omega Racer Norton piggy bank weighs 3.9kg including the base and Omega Racer are selling them for $299 each.
