Riding Gear – AGV X3000 Legends Helmets

AGV X3000 retro helmet review

The compact, lightweight carbon fiber shell surrounds an EPS liner with an interior that features premium leather and an embroidered AGV logo. To keep it all fresh, the padding is removable and washable, and on/off air flow vents hide behind the visor to keep the retro look intact. The low profile contoured chin piece lets you get right up next to the fuel tank, just like Agostini liked to do when he rode.

On offer are four versions of the X3000. The limited edition “Ago” (as in Agostini) is a replica of the green/white/red model the Italian racer wore (which, incidentally, inspired the company’s logo). The Gloria pays tribute to Agostini’s race suit, while the Super AGV is a bicolored option, and the Mono comes in matte grey, white, and gloss or matte black. It’s a collection inspired by the past but ready to ride into the future.

AGV X3000 retro helmet review

Italian manufacturer AGV has been protecting riders’ heads for seventy years now. To celebrate, they’ve released their Legends Collection, a line of vintage-inspired motorcycle helmets. The full-face X3000 has all the style and class of the 1960s helmet worn by World Champion Giacomo Agostini, yet still satisfies AGV’s high standards of modern helmet safety.
