The short cuff Rev’it! Fly 3 Gloves are best suited to warmer riding conditions. Featuring a heavily perforated outer shell they allow plenty of air in to help keep your digits cool. Rev’it! have used a mix of both PU coated Karvin cowhide and goatskin for the construction of the gloves. Goatskin was leveraged for perforated areas due to its increased durability while the Karvin leather adds water resistance should you find yourself caught in a downpour.
When it comes to protection from hard knocks the Fly 3 Gloves follow in the footsteps of the outgoing model. Covering the knuckles of each hand you’ll find thermoplastic rubber hard shell protectors that flex with your hand for superior comfort and durability. Additionally, you’ll find thermoplastic urethane protectors on the top of each finger. Rev’it! has then inserted a PWR shield into each palm and utilised their Temperform padding in high flex zones. Additional layers of leather and rows of stitching are found in high impact and abrasion areas to decrease the chance of tears and seam bursts.
One subtle yet welcome design difference Rev’it! has made to the Fly 3 Gloves is in the comfort they offer. The Fly series has always been hailed for its great fit and comfort, but there’s always room for improvement. This has been achieved with the Fly 3 Gloves by revising the layout of their accordion stretch panels. You’ll find the material stretching from the top of each wrist to the base of each thumb as well as individual panels on each finger. These help to decrease fatigue when gripping the bars and grasping levers. Additionally, a tri-fleece liner removes any chance of internal seams rubbing against your skin.
